One sweet Bureau of Land Management campground is Hammer Creek Recreation Site on Idaho’s Lower Salmon River, approximately 2.7 miles from Hwy 95, near White Bird.
This intimate 12-site campground is a popular put-in spot for boating the Lower Salmon via raft, kayak, jet boat or power boat. The dry camping destination is surrounded by semi-arid mountain peaks. Amenities include drinking water, restrooms and a RV dump station. There is no electric hookups.
Camping Fee is $10/night (one RV, one vehicle). First come, first serve basis. Year-round use. Federal Interagency Access Pass provides for a 50-percent discount off the fees.
