RVers on the move this Thanksgiving holiday

LakeSeminole_Thanksgiving-JulianneGCraneDrivers will be paying the highest Thanksgiving gas prices since 2014 with pump prices about 40-cents a gallon more expensive than last year, according to AAA. The average retail price for regular unleaded gasoline is around $2.54 a gallon. That said, AAA estimates this to be the highest Thanksgiving travel volume since 2005 with nearly 51 million Americans traveling 50 miles or more from home over the long holiday weekend, between Wednesday and Sunday.

Almost 90 percent of travelers will be driving. Many will be making the trip in their recreation vehicle … taking their own bedrooms with them.

“As families become more and more scattered, bringing everyone together can be difficult. But traveling to see family should not be a chore,” affirms GoRVing.com. “Look at it as an opportunity. Turn Thanksgiving into an awesome family RV road trip.”
