A warm afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Texas is the perfect opportunity to visit the USS Lexington that rests regally in Corpus Christi Bay next to the North Beach.
This fabled aircraft carrier played a significant role in our nation’s defense for nearly 50 years. Today she is a museum and it is estimated that more than 5-1/2 million people have crossed her gangway since she opened as a living memorial in 1992.
One recent sunny day Jimmy and I, along with longtime RV friends, Sherian and Lee Shriver of Ohio, walked aboard.
For more information about what you will see while visiting the USS Lexington click on an article I posted on RV Short Stops.
