Tear drops eye the Blue Moon at Lake Alamo

Laura Prato of Pheonix, Ariz., and her dog, Frank, at Lake Alamo State Park. On New Year’s Eve at Alamo Lake State Park in Arizona, two sweet tear drop trailers set up for a couple of days in the dry camping area.

In a silver classic handmade model (based on a 1940s’ design), Laura Prato of Phoenix and her standard Schnauzer, Frank, made the drive to watch the full Blue Moon rise above the high desert mountains surrounding Lake Alamo.

Steve Mason of Mesa, Ariz., build his extended tear drop trailer. By Julianne CraneSteve Mason, and his mixed-pooch sidekick, towed his own custom ‘stretch’ design from Mesa, Ariz. This is the third tear drop Mason has crafted. This ‘extended’ model fits his tall frame better than the standard miniature tear drops.
