Since 1996, the Herzogs, who live on California’s Monterey Peninsula, have logged more than 100,000 RV miles, spending time in all 48 contiguous states. Winnebago Industries and the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) sponsor the Herzog family RV adventures.

“We are able to head out as a family in a house on wheels for a couple of months each year,” says Brad. “In fact, we have been designated as the ‘Explore America Family.’ We get all the comforts and security of home, combined with all the adventure and education of the open road. It is, as Mark Twain once put it, ‘pleasuring with a vengeance.’”

This summer they are “driving a 37-foot Winnebago Adventurer, through 12 states in the Northwest,” says Brad.

After Spokane they are heading east, through Idaho to Montana where they’ll be stopping off in Missoula, Lincoln, Great Falls and Bozeman. Then it will be on to the magnificent Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

Brad has written numerous children’s books and travel memoirs. Follow the Herzogs by clicking on Herzog’s RVIA’s blogs
