Looking for more information about recreation vehicles and the RV life?

There are hundreds of clubs and organizations geared up to help. Whatever your lifestyle, special interest, location, or type of rig, there is a group or two … or dozen, out there waiting for you.

Many RVers join several groups, including motor home owner Vivian Grybko of northeast Kansas. She is a member of Good Sam, Family Motorhome Coach Association, Escapees and Wandering Individuals Network.

“In addition to learning more about the RV lifestyle,” said Grybko, “I selected these groups to meet people with like interests.”

Grybko became a member of the Wandering Individuals Network (WIN) in 2002 about a year after her husband died. She decided she could no longer just “sit” for the rest of her life in the small prairie town where she and her husband lived for more than 30 years.

These days she is on the road eight months a year in her 1999 24-foot Jamboree class C motor home, frequently joining up with other solo RV WIN members. “It’s a great group of people,” said Grybko. “There is always something planned.”

Contact: WIN (www.rvsingles.org), PMB 8206, 914 SW Coast Hwy, #104 Newport, OR 97365; (303) 522-7661. Membership $70 first year, $60 renewal.

Next in this six-part series we’ll take a look at the Good Sam Club.
