RV Care-A-Vanners continue to work on the painting needs of a house under construction by the Mesilla Valley Habitat for Humanity in Las Cruces, NM.
While waiting for walls to dry on one of the houses, volunteers move into the Habitat warehouse to paint doors and trim.
In the top photo Jimmy Smith of Washington applies the first coat of paint on more than a dozen interior doors.
In the middle photo, Barb Oliver of Grand Junction, Colo. (left) and Lucy Scholpp of Canaan, NY, put the finishing touches on one of the bedroom doors.
Both Oliver and Scholpp are veteran RV Care-A-Vanner volunteers and have worked on numerous Habitat builds across the United States.
In addition to working in construction positions on Habitat builds, many RV Care-A-Vanners frequently help out with office and clerical tasks. Janet Ohri of Kemmling, Colo., and I helped stamp hundreds of Holiday Greetings being mailed to friends and supporters of Mesilla Valley Habitat.
When working with a non-profit organization that depends on public support, no task is too small.
