Dorothy H. “Dottie” Maitlandof Bigfork, Mont., promotes RV travel on behalf of the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA).
“My job is to let the travel and tourism industry know that the RV industry is one of the fastest growing segments of tour and travel,” said Maitland, a veteran tour promoter and former president of the National Tour Association (NTA).
Since 2005, she has addressed 35 state governor’s conferences and leading travel industry associations such as the American Society of Travel Agents.
“I feel like Johnny Appleseed, laying the seeds and watching them grow as people discover each other and what they can do together,” said the longtime RVer. “We travel in our motorhome and get to experience the areas we visit.”
