Wait, wait, wait, before you say: “I can’t afford that,” let me tell you it is only $4 for day use on Tuesday. Admission to the Desert Hot Springs Spa the remainder of the week is $6 on Monday-Wednesday-Thursday; and $8 Friday-Saturday-Sunday.
This is a perfect stop for snowbirds who have been hiking and boondock camping in nearby Joshua Tree National Park who are looking for a soak and shower. We stopped for about an hour on our journey to Arizona.
The price includes use of eight natural hot mineral pools, dry sauna, and locker room changing facilities. The warmest pool was 104-degrees (see Jimmy pictured at right).
There is also a decent restaurant with inside and outside seating. The parking lot is easy access, even for the largest of rigs.
