Gruene_Hall_outside_JimmySmith_JulianneGCrane If you are traveling through the Hill Country of Texas or just driving along I-35 between Austin and San Antonio–do yourself a favor and factor in a couple of hours for an RV Short Stop in Greune, Texas.

Its historic roots go back to the mid-1800s when German farmers settled in the region. One of the important early buildings is Greune Hall, Texas’ oldest dance hall and saloon. It is where singers George Strait, Lyle Lovett and Hal Ketchum got their start.
