If you are traveling through Colorado in a motorhome towing a car, expect to pay double if you plan to camp at state parks.

Colorado State Parks continues with its 2007 policy of charging an “$8/day entrance fee on both ‘motorized’ vehicles for a total of $16/day to get in,” writes Keith Bennett, Denver RV Travel Examiner.

However, “If you drive a vehicle with a trailer or 5th wheel in tow, you will only be charged $8/day,” reports Bennett.

Bennett goes on to update the story with an interview with a representative at the state parks Denver office. Read more here.
