“Mobile Mansions: Taking Home Sweet Home on the Road” by Douglas Keister has more than 200 color photographs on 160 pages.
Keister has authored and co-authored 39 critically-acclaimed books. In this coffee table book Keister documents an amazing range of vehicles, including small camp cars from the 1920s, house cars from the 1930s, campers from the 1950s, and finally modern-day motorhomes that first appeared in the 1960s.
I love this book. It is one of only a few books I kept after downsizing when we went on the road fulltime. I never seem to tire at skimming through this collection of photographs of ‘motorhomes’ that range from the “eclectic to the exquisite, the luxurious to the rare.”
