Bandera, Texas, this wide spot in the road, is worthy of an RV Short Stop

BanderaTX_BBQ_outside_JulianneGCraneIt goes without saying that if you’re traveling through Texas, anywhere in Texas, you have to tie into the local bar-b-que. That’s exactly what we did when we passed through Bandera, the self-proclaimed “Cowboy Capital of the World.”

We arrived in Bandera on a warm afternoon and we were starved after a meandering tour through the Hill Country. Driving along Main Street with the windows rolled down, we were enticed by the heavy mouth-watering aroma bellowing from Busbee’s Bar-B-Que. We were hooked.

After our belly-filling late lunch, we walked around this tourist-friendly town that is a favorite destination of weekend motorcycle tours and winter RVers.
