LasCrucesHabitatRestore_JimmySmith_JulianneGCraneIf you are like many other generous RVers, you want to make a difference in this life. One organization using RV volunteers is Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit, ecumenical housing ministry. HFH seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

RV Care-A-Vanners travel in their own recreational vehicles, covering their personal expenses, to Habitat affiliates across the United States and Canada, to help build houses. Each caravan usually lasts two weeks and includes eight to 10 RV units. Contact the program at rvinfodesk@habitat.org or call 1-800-422-4828, ext. 7534 or (229) 410-7534.

Build listings —

“The online build listing is updated frequently, and you can receive periodic RV Care-A-Vanners updates and reminders via e-mail. Check the online build list, available at Building List, often to see the most up-to-date build lists. “There are also many affiliates continually hosting RV Care-A-Vanners on an ongoing basis.
