The Daily Green Web site has a post from Chris at Squob who reports on his “Top 5 Coolest New Green Campers”
Chris writes: “Squob has put together some greener options for recreational vehicle fans who value style as well as utility. This selection has a decidedly European slant, because RVs from the other side of the Atlantic tend to be much kinder to the environment. Gas is much more expensive in Europe, and the locals tend to take shorter vacations.”
Top on the list is the Tonke Camper (pictured above) hand-built in Holland and inspired by classic yachts created by Dutch boat builders in the 1920s.
Also featured in the article are the U.S.A.-manufactured Airstream Safari Sport;the (park-model-type) Lodge-on-Wheels built by the Martin House Company in Mississippi; the Sprinter chassis by Dodge or Freightliner; and the rugged EarthRoamer XV-JP for the off-road RVer (pictured below).
