Yosemite Park’s Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias

Share

On a beautiful sunny day recently, we made our way to Yosemite National Park in central California.

Our destination was near the South Entrance to Yosemite–the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. The trailhead is two miles down a winding road.  While the parking lot holds several dozen cars,  it is frequently full because of the popularity of this day hike.

Notice on the photo at right the size of the car in comparison to the Giant Sequoia.
