RV paths of Whidbey Island painter & Spokane writer cross at small Arizona mission

Share

Paula Pugh of Whidbey Island, Wash., was quietly painting watercolor sketches of the Tumacacori Mission when I approached her and asked if I could take a picture of her watercolor study.

(Because I wrote about visual arts for more than seven years for The Spokesman-Review, I’m always drawn to artists.)

She explained that she combines watercolor sketches and notes in her trip journals.
