Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas (Julianne G. Crane)

In the small central Texas town of Shiner, just a few blocks north of the crossroads of Hwy 90A and Hwy 95, some of the best beer in Texas has been made at the Spoetzl Brewery since 1909. Shiner Beers, handcrafted Bavarian brews, have expanded from being simply regional favorites to being available on shelves in more than 40 states (including Oregon). However, “every drop of Shiner is still brewed right in Shiner, Texas.”
