The Peninsula, an English language daily newspaper in the Arab emirate of Qatar, reported on the new USA-manufactured blood mobile.
The Hamad Medical Corporation “introduced the largest blood donation mobile unit in the region. The RV (recreational vehicle) style blood collection unit, donated by Qatar Power, has been manufactured in the USA, with the HMC supervising its making.”
The impressive 40-foot customized motor coach “contains six private donor stations, each equipped with a world-class, electrically motorised reclining donor bed, in addition to an LCD television screen, which allows the donor to view educative and entertainment programs while donating blood,” according to the article.
