RV Life on Wheel Conference founder Gaylord Maxwell and his wife, Margie, continue to be the shining center of these annual educational gatherings.
The temperatures soared above 90-degrees during the first full day of classes for the Idaho RV LoW conference on the Lewis and Clark College campus in Lewiston, Idaho.
While many of the attendees are dry-camping on campus (including the Maxwells), others have opted for camping at one of the many area campgrounds including:
– Hells Gate State Park, on the Snake River, is 4 miles from the LCC campus. There are 29 standard sites ($12-$21 per night), 51 serviced ($24-$31 per night), 3 ADA campsites, 8 cabins (1 ADA) ($50-$60 per night). (5100 Hells Gate Rd. Lewiston, Idaho; (208) 799-5015).
– Granite Lake RV Resort, two miles from campus on the confluence of the Clearwater and Snake Rivers (306 Granite Lake Dr., Clarkston, Wash.) where there are 75 sites, all with water and electricity, with showers on site (very important in this hot weather).
