Thursday and Friday were our final two days of camping on the Oregon Coast before heading inland to Corvallis, Portland and then home to Spokane.
Jimmy and I camped Thursday night at Beverly Beach State Park, north of Newport; and last night at South Beach State Park just south of Newport. Both parks have convenient access points to long expanses of beach for exploring and strolling.
South Beach features rolling dunes and a wide, flat beach. Nearby is the jetty that protects boats entering and leaving Yaquina Bay. Friday night we watched as a Coast Guard search and rescue cutter soon to charge out to sea with all its crew in foul weather gear. Yaquina Head Lighthouse was visible in the distance.

We have a 40′ motorhome, but have mostly traveled in the FL – GA – NC – SC states. We do hope to venture to that part of the US by 2011. Sounds Beautiful!
I love to camp and would love to go there for a change. love camping makes you feel relax and free. good day
