Authors and longtime RVers Bill and Jan Moeller have written a number of popular RVing books. One book, where they share a number of insights into how they have saved lots of money by ‘dry camping’ (not being connected to any traditional utilities) for more than 30 years.
Their classic how-to book, “The Complete Book of Boondock RVing: Camping off the beaten path,” (2008, 170 pages, ISBN: 9780071490658) is a guide to RVing without hookups. The retail price is $16.95, however it can be purchased on RVBookstore for $15.26 by clicking here.
“Whether you’re planning to spend an occasional overnight in a parking lot or an extended stay in the wilderness, you’ll learn how to equip your rig for boondocking, find great campsites, manage waste, conserve electricity and water, and camp in complete RV comfort and convenience,” according to RVBookstore.com.

RVs are self-contained. RVers who never boondock are missing a wonderful experience. Camping in a national park or in a national forest by a lake – these spots don’t have hookups. Don’t miss them!
