Watermans spend six month on road, organizing RV LOW conferences

Peggy and Clyde Waterman, of North Idaho, officially “retired” last autumn and have changed their ways.

“We no longer wear watches and often lose track of what day of the week it is and have to check the calendar on the refrigerator,” says Clyde. “We both love discovering new and exciting things while traveling and meeting fellow RVers along the way.”

Peggy is the RV Life on Wheels conference coordinator and has been with the program since its inception 14 years ago. Before retiring she worked for the University of Idaho’s Community Programs providing noncredit classes for the community.

Now the Watermans travel around the country in their 2007 36-foot Winnebago Adventurer six months out of the year. Peggy has her office in their motorhome and a much-used cell phone.

Clyde says he is Peggy’s “go-for” and helps out at the book store during RV LOW conferences.

“One of our biggest challenges has been determining where to have our mail forwarded,” says Clyde. “We often don’t know where we will be next week.”
