Jimmy and Julianne hit the road on their great RVing adventure.

Well this is the day.

Jimmy Smith and I are heading out in a 1996 Lance Squire Lite 165 8.6′ camper and 2003 Chevy Silverado on our first snowbird experiment.

We are hoping to escape most of the severe Eastern Washington winter weather, along with seeing parts of this beautiful country, visiting family and old friends … and, hopefully, making many new RV friends.

I plan to post frequently on our destinations and people we meet along the way.

First stop is in Central Oregon, just outside of Redmond, to visit with longtime friends, Sharon and Ron Vail.

We will catch up on the Vails’ lives over dinner, and maybe a pint at “28” in Bend.
