Full-time RVers Thom and Dar Hoch explore USA

Thom and Dar Hoch are still having a lot of fun after being on the road fulltime since July 2007.

They have adjusted to living in 300 sq. ft. , “haven’t killed each other, and really enjoy the adventures we experience while exploring America,” says Thom.

Jimmy and I met Thom and Dar while staying in the Watchman Campground at Zion National Park. It was our first night in Zion and a mutual friend, camp host Michael Fousie, introduced us over dinner at Caesar’s Cafe in Springdale, UT, just outside Zion’s gate.

“One of the best features of this lifestyle,” says Thom, “is the great people we run into at almost every stop. I’m continually amazed at the talent, experience and accomplishments of so many of them.”

If one thing drives their continuing RV journey, it is history–history of all kinds. “Besides the history of the American People, we like learning more about cultural history of ancient civilizations and geological history of the earth,” says Thom.

What adventures and surprises are in store for them? Read about them on their blog: “RV Sabbatical Journal.”
