Yes, I have heard about all of the sad circumstances you write about. And, as a matter of fact, I’m intimately familiar of what war can do to those who serve and those who support them back home.
What I also know, is that there are, thankfully, thousands, maybe even millions, of kind and giving people in our world and I choose to focus my energy on shining a little light on them and the good work they do.

Peace and prosperity? I guess the writer didn’t here about the Iraq and Afghan Wars, the internecine wars in Africa, the global economic collapse, the defrauding of people’s life savings by the few, the rich, the criminal corporations and their pals on Wall St.
