Rich and Joanne Bain of Colbert, Wash., are outdoor enthusiasts who fell in love with the freedom and flexibility of truck camping in 2000.
“It gives us the capability of getting into places we enjoy exploring, anytime of the year,” said Rich Bain of TheTCLife.com. “We don’t limit ourselves just to the warm seasons,” said Joanne Bain.
Their 2010 Adventurer 810ws truck camper is always fully stocked for last-minute winter weekend getaways to their favorite Pacific Northwest ski slopes. They simply toss in a little fresh food and go.
The Bains, along with their 9-year-old son, Cody, camp at least 80 nights a year.
“During the winter we look forward to getting up into the mountains above the cloud line where the sunshine is,” said Rich Bain. “And, after a full day of being outside in cold weather we are ready to ‘chill out’ inside our warm camper.”
