Tribute: Margaret McNevin, an elegant lady

Share

MargaretMcNevinMargaret McNevin was a beautiful and elegant woman with a gentle, sweet soul.  She passed in late July 2013 from complications resulting from an aggressive form of Lymphoma.

We have only recently heard of her passing and feel a profound sadness. We will miss her dancing lightly on this earth.

The last we saw Margaret was in the spring of 2013 when we gave up our lot at the Escapees Park of the Sierras. She and Dave Danielsen, her life partner for more than 27 years, had been our neighbors. Everyday we would see them walking together through the park or along the nearby nature trails.

According to an obituary in the Weaverville, Calif., Trinity Journal, Margaret was born in June 1938 in New Hampshire and raised in the San Francisco area after World War II. She married and had four sons.

After her divorce, she met Dave at an ‘over-40′ church singles’ group and they clicked. They loved RV travel, living on a few acres of land in the forest near Weaverville, Calif., and each other.
