What is wrong with this picture?
I had a bad feeling about this fishing adventure from the beginning … but, no, I was being overly concerned when Jimmy mentioned that he and another RVer were planning on fishing the Corpus Christi shipping channel in an outgoing tide.
The other fisherman was using a sea-going kayak and Jimmy would be in his Buck’s Bag ‘stillwater’ pontoon boat.
I flashed on last year when we had bicycling along the channel on Mustang Island and watched the incoming cargo vessels bound for the Port of Corpus Christi. We were amazed at the huge large-enough-to-surf wakes they created.
However, there is something about the romance of catching the ‘big one’ when the little fish were swept out to where the big fish waited.
