Perfect RV Short Stop: Cold (homemade) date shake on warm day on edge of Mojave Desert

Share

When traveling through the Indio-Palm Springs region of the Coachella Valley in Southern California this time of year — it usually means you are going to get thirsty.

And why not spring for one of those ‘world famous date shakes’ you see advertised everywhere … but not just any date shake. Opt out for ““Best Date Shake in the Desert” at the Windmill Market.

The market also features a small menu of fine, modestly priced deli sandwiches and daily take out dinner specials. Although the parking lot is small, there is plenty of room on both sides of the road near the market for most-sized RVs. Take out or eat in the small garden patio behind the market.

For directions and more information, click on the Best Date Shake in the Desert” and learn about the funky little Windmill Market on the outskirts of Desert Hot Springs.
