36 popular Washington state parks ‘in limbo’

Jeff Chew writes in the Peninsula Daily News that the future of 36 popular state parks “remains unknown” until lawmakers approve a state budget.

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission “intends to cut $23 million of the agency’s $100 million budget to help the state deal with a $9 billion deficit,” writes Chew.
