When traveling to central Oregon from eastern Washington, we frequently stop at Maryhill (Washington) State Park,
the extremely popular 99-acre RV and tent camping park with 4,700 feet of waterfront on the magnificent Columbia River in Klickitat County. The park sits just inside Washington on Hwy. 97 between State Route 14 and Interstate 84 (Exit 104) in Oregon.
“It is considered one of the premiere state parks on the Columbia River for camping, swimming, fishing, windsurfing or simply for relaxation,” according to the Free Guide to NW Camping.com.
An RVer I interviewed a few years back said his family held its reunion there every year. He loved to windsurf, his mom and dad went for the fishing, and the grandkids played on the beach.
There are 50 RV and 20 tent campsites. Maximum site length is 60 feet (may have limited availability). There are four restrooms, one ADA, and 10 showers, two ADA. There is one RV dump station. For fee information, check out our camping rates page.

“The area is significant for its natural beauty, its access to the surrounding natural wonders and its cultural history,” says the Washington State Parks website.
Within a few miles are the Maryhill Art Museum (to the west) and a replica of Stonehenge (to the east) on SR 14 in Washington state. The art museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, including holidays, March 15 through Nov. 15.
