Just finished my first week of work camping at the SKP Park of the Sierras, south of Yosemite National Park.
During December, in exchange for Jimmy working 20 hours/ week on the maintenance crew and me working 8 hours/ week on the landscaping and cleaning crews, we are being provided with an RV site and utility allowance.
This past Tuesday morning at 8 a.m., I met with a small team of volunteers on the landscaping crew outside the Community Hall. My jobs included transplanting chrysanthemums and re-potting spots of color in the rock water feature.
Friday morning I tackled the ladies’ showers as part of the weekly Community Hall volunteer cleaning team. This place runs on volunteers, it is part of what people sign onto here when they join this unique coop park.
