Fulltimer RVers Dar and Thom Hoch stopped by Spokane recently for a short visit and quick tour of the downtown.
We first met the Hochs about a year ago while staying in the Watchman Campground Zion National Park on our first extended RV journey. We had just arrived at Zion where our longtime RV friend, Michael Fousie (an incredible photographer see his Website at: LightCurve.com) was a camp host. He introduced us over dinner at Oscar’s Cafe in Springdale, UT, just outside Zion’s gate.
We became fast friends and have stayed in touch since then.
Lucky for us, the Hochs chose to follow U S Hwy. 2 west from Michigan and Spokane is right on their route. (Jimmy and I plan to follow the same highway, but traveling east. Thom and Dar blogged about all the great places to camp and wonderful things to see on their Website: Thom & Dar’s RV Sabbatical Journal. It makes my research a lot easier.)
We hope to run into them again on our six month trip, maybe in Rockport, on the Texas Coastal Bend, sometime this winter.
