UK Caravan Channel declares 2009 ‘Year of the Caravan’

The Caravan Channel, United Kingdom’s “only permanently produced” camping, caravanning and motorhome program, “is looking forward to 2009 as the ‘Year of the Camper, Caravanner, and Motorhome Owner.'”

“In these financially tight times, families, couples and groups are looking for holiday opportunities that won’t strain their budgets, but will still give them a great break,” states an item on the UKPR Wire.

“Campers, caravan owners and motorhome fans are the only people who can rely on having great holidays at really keen prices,” said producer and presenter Chris Gosling. “Lot of families already find that 2 weeks in some resort isn’t the holiday of their dreams – and hotels can often be disappointing for parents, and a virtual prison for the kids.”
