In addition to working on construction sites, Habitat RV Care-A-Vanner volunteers do whatever chores are needed to help an affiliate–including working in the office or, in our case, at the Mesilla Valley Habitat ReStore stocking shelves.
When we arrived for our shift yesterday at the ReStore, the storeroom was chock-full of donated housewares, holiday decorations and children’s toys.
Volunteer coordinator Patty Ickler quickly put us to work moving shopping carts filled with priced merchandise out of the back room and onto the ReStore’s shelves. Between trips for more pots, pans and small appliances, we frequently stopped and talked with shoppers, answering what questions we could or seeking out Patty when we were stumped.
It was a good day.

You “guys” are a real inspiration. Keep up the good work!
