RVing romance author Cynthia Thomason

Harlequin novelist and RVer Cynthia Thomason creates characters in her novels based on people she meets in her travels.

She says RVing in the family’s recently purchased 24-foot Fleetwood Pegasus travel trailer helps her with her research.

“I write about small towns in America and the quaint, eccentric people who live there,” says the author.

This latest round of travel is Cynthia and Walter Thompson’s second foray into RVing. “We drove an Itasca 29 foot motor home” more than 20 years ago, she recalls. “It was great until our son enrolled in first grade and our wandering days were pretty much over. We sold it, and I missed the fun of RVing once it was gone.”

However over the years, Cindy never stopped thinking about RVing. After the couple sold their auction house business three years ago, they found they had more time and flexibility for traveling.

“I started itching for the RV lifestyle again,” she says.  She “scoured Craigslist for months and finally found the Pegasus.”
