Travel filmmaker John Holod has been traversing the Alaska Highway since 1973 when he rode every johnholden_glacier.jpgmile of it on his Harley Davidson.

“It was 1,400 miles of dirt road once you left the pavement north of Edmonton,” he said. “I was a lot younger and a little tougher back then.”

The former fulltime RVer and his wife, photographer Jodie Ginter, returned to Alaska in 2007 for a four-month trip in a Born Free Motorcoach. They updated two DVDs: Alaska RV Adventure of a Lifetime and Alaska’s Inside Passage.”
