Travel filmmaker John Holod has been traversing the Alaska Highway since 1973 when he rode every mile of it on his Harley Davidson.
“It was 1,400 miles of dirt road once you left the pavement north of Edmonton,” he said. “I was a lot younger and a little tougher back then.”
The former fulltime RVer and his wife, photographer Jodie Ginter, returned to Alaska in 2007 for a four-month trip in a Born Free Motorcoach. They updated two DVDs: “Alaska RV Adventure of a Lifetime” and “Alaska’s Inside Passage.”
RVBookstore.com carries these DVDs and a wide assortment of books on traveling to Alaska. Click here for the complete list.
