It may be a little late in the season with winter fast approaching Arizona’s high country near the Grand Canyon … however Russ and Tina DeMaris write in RV Boondocking News that they “spent several happy days and nights camped out just a raven’s wing away from the South Rim entrance station. We paid nothing. We heard almost nothing. We saw very few folks.

What’s the secret? Boondock in the Kaibab National Forest. There’s lots of good camping not far from the crazy crowds at the Rim, and Uncle Sam invites you to stay for no fee.”

  • everything has its own taste and fun. so is the case with rv camping. the joy and fun of rv camping is different for different people and also its different in off-season and in-season too.

  • This is a great review, thanks for sharing. Next week would be the first RV camping of our family and the thought of it really gets me so excited but I was yet to decide which RV unit to rent to accommodate all of us.
