Mt. Hood, Ore., Hwy 26, Roadtrek RV, 8/9/10 by Julianne Crane From Portland, Ore., the quickest and most scenic route to the FMCA Convention in Redmond is along Hwy. 26 that skirts magnificent Mt. Hood.

There are dozens of campgrounds in this rich natural area. One online site is Forest Camping.com that lists more than three dozen campgrounds ranging in size from 10 (Hideaway Lake) to 118 (Lost Lake). Many of the forest campgrounds are limited to tent camping only, so double check if you are RV camping.

Another source of information for RV campers traveling across the USA is RV Camping.org. For recreational vehicle camping locations and information in Oregon, click here.
