Heading down the road–this time the slow way south

ColumbiaGorgeWA-84_JulianneGCraneThis, our sixth RV Snowbird Journey, may be our last such extended adventure. So we’ll be taking our time.

This does not mean we plan to give up RVing, far from it. We love the outdoors–and I love sleeping off the ground.

However, after more than five years of criss-crossing our great country (most of the time in a truck and camper) we have decided to look for a more permanent homebase–a place we can settle into for at least part of the next phase of our life. We won’t give up our tight little rig for exploring, but we hope to find a snug place to call home.

In the meantime we are making our way from Eastern Washington along the mighty Columbia River Gorge. First stop: Maryhill State Park on the Washington side, across from Biggs, Oregon.
