Habitat for Humanity needs RV team leaders

Share

RVCareAVannersFor more than a decade, RV Care-A-Vanners have been volunteering for Habitat for Humanity on the builds around the United States. The RV Care-A-Vanners program brings together people from all walks of life who want to pick up a hammer and help change lives.

In addition to general build volunteers, there is an immediate need for at least a baker’s dozen Team Leaders between now and the end of May, according to a Habitat e-mail.

RV Team leaders serve as a liaison between the RV building team and the affiliate. They serve a critical organizing role on RV Care-A-Vanner builds.

They serve as a single point of contact for the affiliate and the team, passing along information as appropriate. This often includes forwarding logistics details to participants—such as information about camping facilities, meal arrangements, the directions to campgrounds and build sites, locations of laundry facilities, grocery stores, churches, mail delivery and more—and answering questions.

Many of Habitat’s scheduled builds still need RV team leaders. If you would like to volunteer as a team leader, any of the following upcoming builds can use your coordinating skills. Please call Habitat at 1-800-HABITAT, ext. 7530 if you are willing to help in this way.
