Catalina State Park, a popular RV snowbirds destination near Tucson, Ariz., is winding down its winter “First (and Third) Saturdays Concert Series.” These are free concerts to all paid campers; or is included in the admission to the park for day-users ($7 per vehicle).
Imagine listening to music with the Santa Catalina Mountains as the backdrop. All shows are at the Trailhead Stage. Concert times vary. “Feel free to bring a chair and favorite foods. Free popcorn is provided by the Friends of Catalina State Park,” according to park officials.
Okay, so this is technically the third Saturday, not the first, whatever, the park is featuring the Oracle Ridge Band for a concert on the third Saturday in March. Oracle Ridge Band performs a mix of classic country and bluegrass music. The band features vocal harmonies, mandolin, guitar, bass and drums.
The concert series has two more gigs in April.
