Desert Bar near Parker, Az, fun snowbird side trip

Share

If you are RVing anywhere between Quartzsite and Lake Havasu City (Arizona) on a weekend October-April, consider parking your RV somewhere and taking your tow vehicle five miles down a dusty, windy, rocky dirt road to a Desert Bar oasis called The Nellie E Saloon.

It is a worthy destination for an afternoon trip … the hours run from about noon to sunset, on Saturday and Sunday for Snowbirds.  You’ll find good live entertainment, reasonably-priced food and a full bar. No television at this solar-powered establishment. Children and leashed dogs welcomed.

Directions: 5 miles north of Parker, Az. on Hwy 95. Take Cienega Springs Rd. east 5 miles, follow the traffic. The road ends at Nellie E’s. Caution: NO RVs.  This is a rough road.

Bring cash, no credit cards accepted.
