Planning first RV snowbird trip … suggestions?

Share

Heading to the southwest from Pacific Northwest the end of October in a 2003 Chevy 3/4-ton truck with a 1996 8.6-foot Lance Lite camper. We’re taking hiking booths bicycles and fishing rods.

There are only two “for certain” destinations–Austin for Thanksgiving and Quartzsite (Ariz.) around Christmas. Heading back the slow way along the Pacific Coast near the end of January.

Destinations in-between are wide open … and we’re looking for suggestions on “do not miss” places to fish (both bait and fly), incredible parks to hike and breathtaking vistas.

Just click on the “Comments” below and thank you for your suggestions.

  • The Anza Borrego Desert is great & the Texas Hill country too. City of Rocks, can’t remember where that is – oh so many places. Check out ghost towns too. Have fun.
