Last minute holiday decoration guide for RVs

Like many veteran RVers, we carry some kind of rope lights or ‘fairy lights’ with us when we are on the road, especially if it is over the holiday season.

Pictured at right is our simple holiday light display when we were camped at St. Joseph’s Peninsula State Park on Florida’s Gulf Coast in 2010. While it was unseasonably cold and windy that year, our lights help keep our hearts warm.

In the past week, I’ve run across several online posts about decorating recreation vehicles with holiday cheer, including “RV Christmas Decorating Tips” on TheFunTimesGuide.com. Click here for full article. For more photographs of decorated RVs, click here.

Go RV Texas’ ‘Deck the Wheels’ article offers pictures and a number of suggestions on sprucing up your RV.

Then the post concludes with: “Remember to just sit and watch the twinkling of tiny lights on your 10-inch tall Christmas tree or the lighted boughs throughout the RV and remember it is not the size of your ornaments or the number of decorations you have but the bigness of your heart that counts this time of the year. Take a moment and remember why you celebrate Christmas in the first place.”
