RVer Mary Fountain first traveled the globe

Share

Full-time RVer Mary Fountain’s wanderlust started at UC Berkeley in the 1950s. She chose not to live her life in a traditional way, and fresh out college she packed her suitcase and headed for Europe.

Years later, as a young widow in 1984, Mary, with her teenage son in tow, went to Africa with little money and no employment. She did, however, have a house-sitting gig on a coffee plantation in Kenya.
