Just yesterday I wrote about paying $22 for a state campground site with electricity and water, calling it a little pricy for us … well, in this week’s RV Travel newsletter, editor Chuck Woodbury writes about “the increasingly high cost of camping … a basic electric/water site was $40 to $50, which is pretty standard these days.”
Ouch. No wonder Wal-Mart parking lots are so alluring.
Chuck goes on to lobby for “an inexpensive, no-frills option at RV parks for low-impact RVers” … something like a Motel 6 for those of us traveling with our own housing.
