Austin, Texas, continues to keep its reputation as “The Live Music Capital of the World” with more bands performing per-square-inch than any other place in the known universe.
However, what if you don’t feel like gathering in large crowds or jumping to the music? Not to worry.
Austin is rich in arts and history that dates back to the mid-1800s — from the Blanton Museum of Art and world-class symphony — to the state Capitol and an array of 19th century buildings such as the 1876 Old Bakery (where I volunteered as a University of Texas graduate student ).
