After finishing up four days at the 14th annual RV Owners Seminar in Kelowna, BC, we headed south along 97, crossing back into the United States at Osoyoos/Oroville. The experience went smoothly with our passports. If you are traveling in an RV expect to be pulled over on the U.S. side and your RV boarded … they are looking for illegal drugs, firearms, ammunition, excessive amounts of alcohol (for resale), and produce, among a long list of other items.

Also, don’t take any pictures of the border patrol officers while they are doing the inspection. I was asked to delete all images of the crossing and was observed while I did so.

Great location right on the Okanogan River, however, lots of mosquitoes. Cost: pull-through: $30; back-in: $25; tent: $15. Full facilities with electric, water, sewer and wifi.

The two couples were on a trans-continental bike tour from San Diego north, most were going to Canada.
